Lesley Moore - Chair

Educated at Oxford University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Lesley’s early career was as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company. Lesley is now a Director at the Competition & Markets Authority, after taking time out to raise her four children in East Sussex. During this time she took on a number of voluntary roles, including Chair of Hastings and Rother National Childbirth Trust and Chair of Governors at Glenleigh Park Primary Academy. Lesley has also been a magistrate in Hastings for over 15 years.

Having studied singing with Molly Townson, Lesley has performed many lead soprano roles over the last 25 years with local operatic groups and was Chair of Battle Light Opera Group. She competed at Hastings Musical Festival for several years, winning the Gold Medal in singing, and was Singing Section Secretary before becoming a Trustee of Hastings Musical Festival charity and member of the Festival Executive in 2014. Lesley became Chair of the charity in 2019 and of the management committee of Hastings Musical Festival in 2020.
